They've moved on, to the closed source ZIMA OS. You can use that, or you can be like me. I built everything from the ground up and achieve the same result Debian + Portainer + Homepage, it's practically the same thing. It only took me a good 2 hours to do all that. |

Dear CasaOS Developers and Community,
I am writing this message first and foremost to express my sincere gratitude for everything you have built. I have been a loyal user of CasaOS for years, and it has consistently been the backbone of my home server setup. The simplicity and elegance of the interface made self-hosting a joy for me.
However, I am reaching out because I’ve noticed the repository hasn’t received significant updates in over a year. While the system remains functional, the current landscape of cybersecurity—driven by the exponential rise in AI-powered automated attacks—makes me increasingly concerned about the lack of recent security patches.
As much as I love the ecosystem you’ve created, the risk of continuing to run an unmaintained system is becoming hard to justify.
Is there a roadmap for future updates, or is the project looking for new maintainers? I would love to see CasaOS evolve and stay secure in this new era of technology.
Thank you again for all the hard work and for providing such a great tool to the community.
Best regards,
Victor Hugo
