SIGPLAN understands the importance of mentoring in the programming languages community for broadening participation, improving retention, and building a healthy community. SIGPLAN has two mentoring initiatives: the Programming Languages Mentoring Workshop (PLMW) and the Long-Term Mentoring Committee (SIGPLAN-M).
