Dear FDS Users,
I am running an FDS case using version 6.9.0. The original model had a complex geometry arrangement and the simulation consistently aborts. To debug, I created a simplified test case where I removed all obstructions and retained only the mesh, slices, and devices. However, the simplified case still stops with the same error.
I have attached two input files:
a) meshdeviceslice.fds – includes all devices used in the original simulation
b) meshdeviceslice0.fds – same as (a), but flow measuring devices disabled (since obstructions were removed)
Error message (as shown in the output):

Further to my above investigation, I tested the same model using FDS version 6.7.5.
a) With obstructions + devices, the case runs but the simulation speed is extremely slow.
b) When I remove only the slice output (SLCF) from the input and run again, the simulation initially takes longer to start, but once it starts it runs significantly faster compared to the case with slices enabled.
The input file size is approximately 5.8 MB. Please advise the preferred way to share the case files for further investigation.
