Summary
When creating a sales invoice, there are per default 3 date fields:
Posting Date
Reference Date
Clearance Date
While all are important and can sometimes be different, in my case they are almost always the same date. So can you please autofill the reference and clearance dates with the posting date? this will still allow to manually overwrite them if needed, but at least the calendar field is already closer to the probably date which is max 1-2 days away.
What problem are you trying to solve?
reduce number of clicks needed to file an invoice
Basic Example
user creates a new invoices
posting, reference and clearance date are prefilled with today's date.
user overwrites posting date with yesterday's date
reference and clearance dates are beeing automatically updated to the posting date (yesterday
user selects todays date for the clearance date.
this is an extreme case, but it still requires one click less than currently. in the best case, the invoice is created as posted, and no clicks are needed, or just one for the posting date.
Drawbacks
logic might appear confusing when dates change "magically" but only the posting date is a master that has impact on the other two fields (ideally also only while they are still empty/on todays date).
