💡 [Feature Request] - Simplify Journel Entry UI

Summary

When entering a new Journal Entry, there are three somewhat redundant and confusing fields:

before saving, the Title of the form says "New Entry", the Entry Nr reads "New Journal Entry 02" and the Number Series in my case "EXP26-".
after Saving the Title of the form says "EXP26-0002", the Entry Nr "EXP26-0002" and the Number series stays "EXP26-"

This is confusing. If the title cannot be edited / renamed manually, just drop the Entry Nr field - it is equal to the title.
Before editing, dont name it "New Journal Entry 02", because it will be named according totȯhe number series. so just make it a preview of the actual naming, i.e. "EXP26-0002".

Ideally allow to give journal entries a speaking name/title instead of just a number - that makes it easier and you don't need to remove the field.

Hey @simatao That’s a really good point — having a human-readable title would definitely make entries easier to identify.

Something like a “Title” or “Description” field alongside the system-generated number would align well with how entries are handled in other ERP systems as well.

In that case, keeping the generated number for uniqueness and adding a user-defined title for clarity sounds like a better approach than removing the field entirely.

It might also help reduce confusion in the UI, since users can rely on the title instead of trying to interpret the number.

Agreed, figuring out which journal entry is which is a real pain point for me too.
