in your tutorial there never mentionned a mongoDB server.

Based on my initial observations, the core functionality this project offers revolves around creating a web service that Alexa can access, which in turn relays the RTSP stream. You're right, the json file clearly includes a section for MongoDB configuration.

However, the main README and quick-start instructions don't explicitly mention setting up a MongoDB. My best guess and reasoning is that MongoDB is optional or was used in an earlier version.

Here's why: If MongoDB were absolutely essential, the README would almost certainly emphasize its setup.

The core functionality of relaying an RTSP stream doesn't inherently require a database. Since the ReadMe does not mention it, it is very likely that the base functionality does not require it.
