iflight F405 i2c

hi, this is my first experience with INAV; i bought an iflight succeX-E f405 V1 for a long range build - please don't ask why - but i am trying to get it run. INAV with target BETAFLIGHTF4 runs pretty well on it. Point is, i need an i2c connector to solder sda and scl from baro and magnetometer. according to 'resource'
B10: I2C2 SCL
B11: I2C2 SDA
are present. they should be on UART3. baro is wired to it, i switched baro in the configurator to BMP280, but nothing happens; the baro-icon stays red and no movement in sensors tab. do you have any idea what could be wrong here? did i forget something?
