If you use storage templating, you could upload to /data/upload on the M2 drives, and mount the /data/library for full storage on the NFS. |

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
I'm no coder, nor am I Power user specifically on Unix/Linux.
Currently i'm running Immich on my HP EliteDesk with currently 1 (planning on 2x) M.2 500GB storage.
Where I have a NFS folder shared from my NAS and linked in my Ubuntu OS so to have a seperation of the Raw photo and video to the sys files (DB, scaled photo/video and you name it what Immich uses)...
No what I seem to see is that uploading my photo's is pretty quick untill my DDR memory is full and the storage cache of the NAS is full and then it drops down to the speed of the RAID on my NAS.
A bit of a First world problem because it still uploading with about 8MiB/s which is pretty nice, but it could be way better.
My proposed Idea would be to have an Immich native function to activate a Caching function to a selected location and have Immich transfer the files either when it's requested or when its done and idle..
