Stacked/locked status for desktop wallet doesn't update

When a user starts the desktop wallet
The user expects to see the balance and stacking status (if any) updated
That is not the case.

I have seen several cases like this the past weeks/month:

Expected is the stacking status to show the STX coins partially locked

The user can click "view on explorer" and see accurate data.

This issue was also seen on the Extension possibly related to API connection issue: leather-io/extension#5965
