Whatsapp has an export feature per chat. It generates a zip with a txt file. For very long chats, it would be easier to allow us to import this instead of having to scroll and scroll and scroll to get the initial data imported. It can be found by taping the chat or contact’s name to open it > Click three dots on the top right corner > More > Export Chat. Here's an example line from one of mine:
