It might be cool if the Home Assistant Assist UI supported the Agent Client Protocol (ACP). This would allow users to bring their own custom agents while using HASS as the frontend GUI.
Use cases
This would give users full control of the agent, but be able to use the polished Home Assistant Assist chat interface.
