I use GlobalProtect-openconnect to connect to a Palo Alto VPN. Palo Alto has a feature enabled that limits the duration of a session. I often connect to an environment where the current session timeout is set to 2 hours and 15 minutes.
The Palo Alto GlobalProtect client includes a feature that notifies the user when 2 hours of the session have already passed and the session should be refreshed. At that point, a warning window appears with info and a button that allows the user to refresh the session and extend its duration.
The GlobalProtect-openconnect client does not have such functionality. Instead, the session is simply terminated without any warning after 2 hours and 15 minutes.
