Thanks for this PR, it is something I've wanted to do for a while. This repo really needs an additional maintainer; you can probably see that I have a string of outstanding PRs that I am just not getting round to merging. |

I understand. Had to create this patch to fix the build for NixOS, and then decided that I could just as well make a pr as well. |

Use the newer way of go dependency management instead of vendoring dependencies
